CITRUS ESF 8 WORKING GROUP
Building a Stronger Preparedness Network
The Citrus ESF 8 Working Group is a local health and medical preparedness group operating as a subordinate committee of the Tampa Bay Health & Medical Preparedness Coalition. The group brings local partners together to identify preparedness needs, strengthen coordination, and support an effective response to emergencies that impact the health and medical community.
Working together before an emergency helps Citrus County organizations better understand their roles, share resources, address gaps, and build the relationships needed for a coordinated response.
Our Mission
Preparing Together for What Comes Next
The Citrus ESF 8 Working Group works to identify and address health and medical preparedness issues throughout Citrus County. Through collaboration, planning, training, exercises, and resource coordination, the group helps strengthen the county’s ability to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies.
Our approach is built on partnership and reflects the Whole Community concept, recognizing that effective emergency preparedness depends on collaboration among government agencies, healthcare organizations, nonprofit organizations, private sector partners, and the community.
OUR FOCUS
Focused on Readiness
The Citrus ESF 8 Working Group focuses on the capabilities and resources that help healthcare and community partners prepare for emergencies and respond effectively when they occur.

ONE REGIONAL NETWORK
Stronger Together Across Tampa Bay
