Building a Stronger Preparedness Network
The Pinellas Coalition for Health and Medical Preparedness, known as Pinellas CHAMP, is an association of community agencies and organizations with disaster planning and operational responsibilities or capabilities in the health and medical discipline.
Pinellas CHAMP is dedicated to creating and promoting a state of readiness while actively supporting recovery efforts to protect the health of Pinellas County residents during catastrophic events, large scale disasters, and emergencies. The coalition coordinates education, assessment, planning, and support services involving public health providers, private medical providers, public safety agencies, and government officials.
Pinellas CHAMP is a network for organizations active in disasters. Each member organization maintains its own identity and independence while closely collaborating with other member organizations.
Our Mission
Building Preparedness Through Collaboration
The mission of Pinellas CHAMP is to promote and support planning and education as a means of achieving the full preparedness potential of every agency and discipline in Pinellas County.
The coalition works toward this mission by sharing knowledge and resources, fostering an appreciation for the roles of other disciplines, and advocating for discipline equity across the health and medical preparedness community.

Stronger Together Across Tampa Bay
The Tampa Bay Health & Medical Preparedness Coalition brings healthcare and emergency preparedness partners together across nine counties. Through collaboration, planning, training, and shared resources, the coalition works to strengthen preparedness and response throughout the region.
