This is a virtual course offered in coordination with the Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP).
This course content is to provide training and resources to emergency management officials, healthcare coalitions, healthcare providers and suppliers.
The course focuses on the general overview of emergency planning and preparedness; development of policies and procedures; creation of communication plans and training and exercises for healthcare entities.
While this course relates to the newly released Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Emergency Preparedness regulation at 42 C.F.R. §§ 403, 416, 418,441,
460, 482, 483, 484, 485, 486, 491, and 494; it is NOT intended to be a course which will guarantee compliance with Conditions of Participation (CoPs) or Conditions for Coverage (CfC). CMS is responsible for the Interpretive Guidelines for surveyors and is not a primary component for developing provider-based training.
