Mr. Parrish has continuously served as one of the AOC Flight Directors (Meteorologists) aboard the NOAA WP-3D Orion aircraft since 1983\, and in 2021 flies his 42nd hurricane season for NOAA. During that period\, he has entered the hurricane’s eye 650 times in approximately 80 hurricanes.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHIs presentation will discuss: \n\nThe work of NOAA “hurricane hunters” and what the job entails\nInformation about how the job has evolved\nHow changes in weather and climate patterns may affect hurricane preparedness and response\n\nThe presentation will be followed by time for Q & A.

Attendees will also hear perspectives from a Nursing Home Administrator whose care center is using this treatment to help residents and staff safely recover from COVID-19. \nMonoclonal antibody treatments can be prescribed by health care providers to individuals 12 years of age and older who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or who have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 and are at high risk for severe illness and hospitalization.
