DESCRIPTION:Register Here\n  \nThe goal of this class is to give our healthcare organizations the capability to fit test their own staff. The coalition has fit testing supplies to assist trained individuals with this process as well. This class will cover the basics of N-95 respirators\, the requirements for their use\, and the processes for conducting qualitative (the hood method) and quantitative (with a Portacount machine) fit testing.  There will be hands-on instruction on how to conduct fit testing\, so participants must bring a few of the N-95 respirators that their organization uses with them to the training. During the training\, you will also learn how you can borrow our fit testing equipment (including the Portacount!) to complete your organization’s fit testing – free of charge!

DESCRIPTION:Join state\, local\, and tribal responders and other healthcare partners from across Florida at the Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) in Anniston\, Alabama. This week-long event includes a variety of advanced all-hazards trainings that will ultimately culminate into an Incident Capstone Event (ICE) full-scale exercise. (2)\nThe Prehospital Mass Casualty Incident Operations course prepares participants to effectively respond to mass casualty incidents (MCI). Emergency medical service (EMS) responders may provide emergency medical care during an MCI.  During the response phase\, EMS responders perform life-saving procedures in the warm and cold zones of the incident. In addition\, they must use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while providing casualty triage\, treatment\, and transport. \n

DESCRIPTION:Register Here \nThis interesting and informative session will provide an introduction to the key tenets of crisis-informed care\, distinct from trauma-informed care. Looking at neurobiological markers upstream from a trauma response\, crisis-informed care utilizes body-based principles to rebalance\, reset\, and help support a more robust emergency response effort. Crisis-informed care can be most effective in reducing the fallout of extraneous burdens that impact healthcare providers when patients (or colleagues) are carrying high stress reactions. The facilitated discussion will explore scenarios and situations where this approach is most needed\, and will include practical tactical resources to equip\, empower and enhance peer support teams.
