DESCRIPTION:Register Here\nThe Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security is hosting a 2-hour Security Webinar to enhance awareness of\, and response to\, an active shooter incident. \nObjectives \n\nDiscuss the elements of active shooter incident response planning with guidance from expert instructors.\nDescribe common behaviors\, conditions\, and situations associated with active shooter events.\nDiscuss how to recognize potential workplace violence indicators.\nProvide information about best practices\, communications protocols\, and resources that will assist stakeholders to develop or enhance their emergency planning\, preparedness\, and response to active shooter incidents.\n\nBuilding Emergency Planning Capabilities \nThe event will also describe how to incorporate key elements of successful incident management into planning efforts\, including: \n\nCommunication and Incident Planning for Employees\nEmergency Action Plan Development\nRecognizing Behavioral Indicators\nCoordinating with First Responders\n\nWho should Participate? \n\nCorporate and facility security professionals from the private and public sectors\nSupervisory first responders\nHuman resource managers\nCommunity response and liaison officers\nHealth organizations\nFaith-based leaders\nSchool administrators and security officers\nHomeland security representatives\n\nRegistration is free and participation is based on a first come\, first served basis with a limit of 400 participants.\nRegistration will close as soon as the event reaches capacity or no later than July 11\, 2023 at noon (12:00 p.m.) EDT.
