Florida has more than 70 locally-acquired cases of dengue virus so far in 2026, many of which are in the Tampa Bay area. To support regional awareness and preparedness, the Tampa Bay Health & Medical Preparedness Coalition (TBHMPC) is sharing trusted information from the Florida Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Healthcare organizations, community partners, residents, and visitors can use these resources to learn about dengue symptoms, reduce mosquito exposure, strengthen prevention efforts, and support public education. Anyone experiencing possible symptoms should contact a healthcare provider.
