Healthcare
preparedness leaders have the majority of their time and resources
occupied by planning and response initiatives for the acute care sector.
Winter Storm Uri, COVID, and the substantial threat of ransomware
attacks continue to show us a significant and potentially widening gap
in resilience and integration within the emergency preparedness
community of Long Term Care facilities.
Join
us for a presentation in which long-term care experts discuss the
impact that recent challenges have on the LTC community and explore
strategies for improved resilience and care for our most vulnerable
populations.
By the end of this presentation, attendees will be able to:
Describe the quantifiable gaps in communication and knowledge of healthcare preparedness partners. Anticipate the needs (vulnerabilities) and indirect impact of natural disasters on LTC patients. Prescribe strategies that your agency can take to bolster LTC preparedness in your jurisdiction.
