This course addresses local public health and medical preparedness with other community partners in preparation for the coordination of plans to provide mass distribution of medical countermeasures for the jurisdiction as it relates to the Division of Strategic National Stockpile (DSNS) Program. This course addresses Emergency Support Function #8 issues.
Participants completing this course will gain an enhanced understanding and insight into the skills required to enhance a jurisdiction’s preparedness and emergency response efforts by developing (or revising) a plan addressing an all-hazards approach towards Mass Prophylaxis. This course is a combination of lectures, small group activities and a tabletop exercise.
