TB Fundamentals and Response Planning (May 19th)
ï‚· Describe the history of TB.
ï‚· Explain how TB is spread (transmission)
ï‚· Define drug resistant TB.
ï‚· Explain the difference between latent infection (LTBI) and TB disease.
ï‚· Understand the roles, responsibilities and reporting protocols in the event of a suspected TB case, contact investigation and/or outbreak.

FIRST: Tuberculosis Outbreak  (May 20th)
ï‚· To help participants develop an increased awareness and knowledge of tuberculosis disease.
ï‚· To increase the number of public health workers capable of participating in a tuberculosis outbreak investigation.
ï‚· To improve the capacity of the health department to respond effectively during a surge capacity tuberculosis event.
