The University of Florida is holding the 2018 World Stroke Day event at the EOC on Monday, October 29 – from 10AM-12N.  You are more than welcome to attend.  Please let family and friends know.

At this event, they will be offering the following:

• Dr. Anna Khanna (Vascular Neurologist) will be speaking on stroke signs, symptoms, prevention and treatment  @ 10:30am

• We will have available the following services for FREE

o   Free stroke risk factor assessment (UF Health)

o   Free BP screening (UF Health)

o   Local stroke resources within the community (Seven Rivers Hospital)

o   Smoking cessation information (DOH)

o   Blood donation (Crystal River blood bank)

o   Nature Coast EMS information table

o   Tour of ShandsCair helicopter* (provided they’re not on patient calls)

o   Citrus County Fire Rescue with general fire info

o   Light refreshments served: coffee, water and breakfast foods
