Florida International University and Cyber Florida are providing free Cybersecurity Leadership Training for State and Local Government Employees in Tampa Bay. In response to recent legislative requirements mandating cybersecurity training for all State of Florida and local government employees, the Jack D. Gordon Institute at Florida International University, in collaboration with several other universities, is hosting some of the first initiative courses in Tampa and Largo. The free, one-day, in-person training will provide executive and managerial public sector employees with an intensive cybersecurity leadership and strategy seminar covering topics on emerging threats, organizational cybersecurity, and continuity planning to protect Florida’s infrastructure. This training aligns with the requirements of the FL SECTION 282.3185, FLORIDA STATUTES (F.S.), THE 2022 “LOCAL GOVERNMENT CYBERSECURITY ACT.
